Extra international firms, together with Apple and Disney, have paused promoting on social media platform X amid a rising boycott in opposition to the actions of its proprietor, Elon Musk.
The entrepreneur provoked a fierce backlash after seemingly endorsing a submit about an anti-Semitic conspiracy concept.
IBM – one of many heaviest spenders on X – was the primary to drag its promoting cash following Mr Musk’s tweet.
Mr Musk’s feedback precipitated anger within the White Home, with a spokesman calling the conspiracy concept a “hideous lie”.
The corporate is now value lower than half of what it was when Mr Musk took over in 2022.
