The Nigeria Police Pressure has deployed 25,565 operatives and 250 automobiles to Imo for Saturday’s governorship election within the state.
The Deputy Inspector-Basic of Police in command of the governorship election within the state, Mr. Frank Mba, disclosed this whereas briefing journalists on the preparedness of the police for the election.
Mba stated the property would improve the police capability to ship on its core mandate through the election.
He stated: “Our core mandate is to supply a protected and conducive setting for the ballot.
“Our responsibility is to supply a stage taking part in subject for all of the political actors, residents, election observers, the Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) officers, and even journalists to have the ability to ply their commerce unhindered.”
The DIG, who recommended the IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, and Nigerians, promised to utilise the automobiles for safety through the election.

He stated the 80 massive vans, 20 buffalo vans, 20 Hilux automobiles, 20 gun vans, and armored personnel carriers can be moved to space instructions and the police divisional workplaces in Imo State.
