The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) has filed a chargesheet towards a further accused within the Shivamogga ISIS conspiracy case, associated to the creation of graffiti in Mangaluru supporting proscribed terrorist organizations akin to ISIS and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), based on an official assertion on Friday.
In its supplementary chargesheet, the NIA included Arafath Ali, together with charging Mohammed Shariq and Maaz Muneer Ahmed, within the case registered in 2022.
Ali, apprehended on the Indira Gandhi Worldwide airport in Delhi upon his return from Kenya on September 14 final 12 months, allegedly radicalized and recruited different suspects to create the graffiti in January 2020.

Investigations revealed that Ali indoctrinated Shariq, Ahmed, and others below the directions of Taha and Shazeb to create graffiti supporting ISIS, LeT, and the Taliban in Mangaluru.
The NIA alleges that Ali, in collaboration along with his associates and on-line handler, was concerned in a broader conspiracy to advance the terrorist actions of ISIS. Beforehand, the NIA had filed a important and supplementary chargesheet towards 9 accused people, together with Shariq and Ahmed.
The investigation into the case stays ongoing, said the official.
