The Cyclone Restoration Taskforce has been wound down with obligations transferred to the Cyclone Restoration Unit, says Emergency Administration and Restoration Minister Mark Mitchell.
“In making this resolution, we have now thought of how the restoration constructions have developed, and specifically the position of the Cyclone Restoration Unit to coordinate and prioritise the restoration programme,” says Mitchell.
“I acknowledge and commend chairman Sir Brian Roche and members of the taskforce for the integral position they’ve performed in serving to areas and communities recuperate and rebuild from the 2023 North Island climate occasions, and for his or her assist throughout authorities.”
