German utility RWE has been chosen in a consortium with Mitsui & Co and Osaka Gasoline to construct and function an offshore wind farm off the coast of the cities of Murakami and Tainai in Japan.
The award is in keeping with Japan’s dedication to increasing offshore wind capability to 10 GW authorised by 2030, with at the least 5.7 GW on-line and between 30 and 45 GW by 2040, as a part of its goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
