An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Courtroom in Ibadan on Monday ordered the remand of 41 unlawful miners in Agodi Correctional facility over alleged mining of gold, property price N1.248million belonging to Oyo State Authorities.
The defendants, of undisclosed deal with pleaded responsible to the fees in opposition to them.
The Chief Justice of the Peace, Mrs O. O. Ogunkanmi, who didn’t take the plea of the defendants, ordered that they need to be remanded at Agodi Correctional facility pending the result of the case file on the Oyo State Ministry of Justice.
Ogunkanmi, thereafter, adjourned the matter till Feb. 6 for listening to.
The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) studies that the police accused the defendants of conspiracy and unlawful mining.
The defendants: Babangida Salihu, 25, Adamu Sanni, 39, Abdulaziz Lawal, 18, Mamman Ibrahim, 50 and 37 others had been arraigned earlier than the court docket on the 2 counts.
