Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pan-African leisure firm Kugali proudly announce the upcoming launch of the unique six-part animated sequence, “Iwájú,” completely streaming on Disney+ beginning February 28, 2024. A sneak peek with charming pictures is now accessible for viewers.

“Iwájú” unfolds in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria, providing a gripping coming-of-age story that follows Tola, a younger woman from the prosperous island, and her greatest good friend, Kole, a self-taught tech professional. Debuting alongside the sequence on February 28 is “Iwájú: A Day Forward,” a documentary particular filmed throughout three continents. This documentary shares the inspiring story of Kugali’s founders, who turned their desires into actuality by creating an unique animation sequence with Walt Disney Animation Studios.
