Not less than 12 individuals have been killed and 14 others sustained extreme burn accidents as a bus caught hearth after colliding with a dumper in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday evening, an official stated.
The non-public bus collided head-on with the dumper on Guna-Aaron highway, the official stated, including that the injured have been rushed to the Guna district hospital for remedy.
Twelve bus passengers have been killed and 14 others sustained accidents within the hearth, Guna district’s Superintendent of Police instructed PTI.
The ill-fated bus was on its solution to Aaron whereas the dumper was headed in the direction of Guna when the accident occurred at round 9 pm, police stated.
The SP stated there have been round 30 passengers within the bus on the time of the incident and 4 of them by some means managed to come back out of the bus and have gone dwelling.
Guna collector Tarun Rathi stated the administration is probing the incident.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief and introduced an help of Rs 4 lakh every to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 every for the injured.
The chief minister additionally ordered a probe into the accident.
In the meantime, in a message on X, Union Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia termed the incident as “painful” and stated, “Quickly after getting details about the incident, I spoke to the collector and SP and directed them to begin a reduction and rescue operation.” Mr Scindia additionally condoled the demise of the passengers.
