After the rescue operation to evacuate the 41 staff who had been trapped contained in the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi ended on Tuesday, the primary reactions from the employees surfaced on Wednesday. Talking to information company ANI, Vishwajeet Kumar Verma, one of many rescued staff, narrated his 17-day ordeal of being trapped contained in the tunnel.
“When the particles fell, we knew that we had been caught. For the primary 10-15 hours we confronted issue. However later, a pipe was put in to offer us with rice, dal & dry fruits. Later a mic was put in & I used to be in a position to discuss to my members of the family…I’m glad now, will have fun Diwali now,” Verma mentioned, as quoted by ANI.

One other rescued employee, Subodh Kumar Verma, expressed gratitude and thanked the central and state governments for his or her efforts to convey all 41 males out safely.

41 Males Make It House After 400 Hours
The rescue operation to evacuate trapped staff ended on Tuesday and the 41 males reached their respective houses after 400 hours. The members of the family of the 41 staff broke into celebration after they had been safely rescued and reached house after 17 days following the efforts by a number of groups, together with the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Power and the State Catastrophe Response Power.
The 41 staff had been trapped after an under-construction tunnel, a part of the formidable Char Dham all-weather highway venture, collapsed on November 12 in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district.
