Edo State deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, has acknowledged that the final seven years in workplace haven’t been a straightforward journey for him.
Shaibu expressed gratitude to God for sparing his life, including that with what he has seen in his lifetime he must thank God.
The Deputy Governor acknowledged this on Sunday at a harvest and thanksgiving celebration at St. Paul Catholic Church, Airport Street, Benin Metropolis.
He stated, “The final seven years has not been a straightforward journey, it has been bumpy. Nevertheless, I’m completely happy and grateful to God, as a result of in all issues, He says we should always give thanks.
“So, for me, it has been seven years of honour to God, seven years of glory to God, seven years of God’s favour in my life and in my residence.
“Trying again, God has preserved my life and I’m grateful to Him; with what I’ve seen from the start until now, I need to say that God has been merciful.
“In the whole lot I do, I do with the worry of God and with a lot dedication. I’m completely happy and excited, to God solely be the glory in all I’ve achieved at the moment and I do know He takes me someplace. He is aware of the top from the start and I’ll proceed to glorify Him.
“It has been seven years of peace, seven years of expertise, seven years of prosperity, seven years of greatness. I do know that the tenure shall finish in praises.”
