A 15-year-old Apple Valley youth wielding a backyard instrument was shot and killed Saturday by a San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy, based on a press release from the division.
The assertion mentioned the boy, Ryan Gainer, “chased the deputy in an try to assault him with the bladed finish” of a 5-foot-long backyard instrument.
The officer had confronted Gainer after being summoned by a 911 name on Saturday afternoon to a home within the 13400 block of Iroquois Highway. The teenager allegedly was assaulting relations.
After being shot, “Gainer was transported by ambulance to a neighborhood hospital the place he later succumbed to his accidents,” based on a Sheriff’s Division assertion launched Sunday.
